Arlington property values are up 6.6 percent this year — the second year in a row values rose.
Commercial properties led the growth, rising 13.5 percent, making this year’s commercial tax base the largest Arlington has ever had, according to the county. Commercial properties now contribute 49 percent of the county’s real estate taxes.
But residential properties also saw an increase — 1.8 percent, from an average value of $510,200 to $519,400.
“This is our second year of economic recovery – very good news for our community,” County Manager Barbara Donnellan said in a statement.
Real estate assessments will be mailed Jan. 20 to all Arlington property owners.
