Super Paper Mario
The plucky plumber icon we’ve all come to know and love makes his Nintendo Wii debut with the RPG title “Super Paper Mario.”
This game uses basic RPG elements to make getting a higher score and stomping all the baddies worth it with increases in hit points and attack power as you level up.
Mario and the 2-D gang are faced with puzzles galore that you have to solve with the help of floaty helpers called pixls. These can do anything from give you information to turn you invisible.
In this strange adventure, the main villain is the evil pan-dimensional Count Blech. His band of foes have an odd scheme based on a dark and ancient prophecy, and Mario must fulfill his part in the prophecy as the great hero and save the world from darkness.
While the title is lacking in graphical power and utilization of the Wii technology, it’s still a fun mix of old and new that combine to form a great, if a bit too easy, game anyone could love.
