Like a good liberal, Sen. Al Franken, D-Minn., drives a hybrid — an older Ford SUV with an Obama bumper sticker stuck to the back bumper. We ran into Franken and several staffers chatting outside the Newseum on Tuesday night as a valet fetched the Minnesota Democrat’s car. Franken told Yeas & Nays he had attended another event in the neighborhood and wasn’t blowing off the “J. Edgar” screening, where several of his congressional colleagues were spotted. (He wouldn’t do that to Clint Eastwood). He then jumped into the driver’s seat and headed off alone.
