Metro planning officials on Thursday outlined upcoming weekend and weekday station closures. All closures are planned, but changes are still possible.

Sept. 27: Track work is scheduled to begin on the Orange Line, forcing trains to run on a single track between East Falls Church and West Falls Church. The slowdowns will stretch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekdays for “probably a couple weeks.”

Columbus Day weekend, Oct. 8 to 11: Crews will replace four switches, closing three stations to Orange and Blue Line traffic. Those stations are Metro Center, McPherson Square and Farragut West. Metro Center will remain open to Red Line trains and passengers.

Nov. 5 to 7: Weekend closures on the Orange and Blue lines. Orange Line station closures from Stadium-Armory to New Carrollton. Blue Line station closures from Stadium-Armory to Largo Town Center.

Nov. 19 to 21: More Orange Line station closures, again between Stadium-Armory and New Carrollton.

Jan. 14 to 17 (MLK weekend): Track and switch replacement work is expected to close Farragut West, Foggy Bottom, Rosslyn, Courthouse and Arlington Cemetery stations on the Blue and Orange Lines.
