BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) — Bacterin International says its president and CEO will resign from the Bozeman biotechnology company.

Guy Cook started Bacterin in 1998 and grew it into a publicly traded company with more than 150 employees.

The company makes medical devices used in certain transplant called allografts and in bioactive coatings.

Last year, Bacertin received a $25 million investment from OrbiMed, one of the world’s largest health-care investment firms.

Cook tells the Bozeman Daily Chronicle (http://bit.ly/16tAvJD) 15 years is a long time to do anything and he is looking forward to a slower pace.

He says he will remain with the company while it searches for a successor.
