NYPD: Brooklyn man killed by rolling forklift

NEW YORK (AP) — Police say a 22-year-old Brooklyn man attempting to push a forklift up a ramp was killed when the forklift rolled back, pinning him against a wall.

Police say the victim, identified as Gustavo Tapia, was taken to Kings County Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

It happened as Tapia was pushing the forklift manned by another employee up a ramp to a parking area on the roof of a supermarket on Avenue M in Brooklyn at about 6 p.m. Tuesday.
