About all that talk of unity under a Joe Biden presidency.
Well, not so fast.

The latest Zogby Poll found that the country is still divided after the presidential election, though there are signs many want to come together.

Zogby Analytics pollster Jonathan Zogby shared his post-election survey with Secrets, and it found that 49% believe that the country will be able to heal and unite under a Biden administration.
But an equal amount aren’t so sure. A full 24% said no, and 27% said that they weren’t sure.
His was a massive poll of 5,180 voters, a majority of which believed that their vote was counted properly. In fact, 73% felt that their vote was counted.
That is a different issue than the one pressed in lawsuits and challenges from President Trump and Trump-related groups claiming that there was massive fraud in voter registration and voting.
That fight, and Trump’s promise to continue it even after he leaves office, show just how hard building unity will be — and potentially damaging to Biden if he fails to deliver on his promises to bring the nation together.
However, the poll gives hints for where Biden can begin. Bigger majorities supporting healing and unity are among city dwellers, younger and college-age voters. And men far more than women, by a margin of 55% to 43%, believe healing can begin now.
Blacks and Hispanics were also highly encouraged about unity, he found.
In his conclusion, Zogby suggested that there is a good opening for Biden in creating a more unified country. But, he said, the success of his administration could hinge on delivering on that promise.
“We’ve heard all this before — ‘hope and change and build back better.’ Now it’s time to work with the other side and deliver results, not soundbites or empty promises. If Biden delivers, everyone wins. If he turns out to be another politician elected on empty promises, then hell hath no fury like a scorned ex-president!”
