PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Democrat Gina Raimondo and Republican Allan Fung are running dueling TV ads in the governor’s race on the fallout from 38 Studios.

The general treasurer released a 30-second spot Tuesday in response to Fung’s latest, which criticizes her support for repaying the bonds that financed the failed deal.
Raimondo’s commercial says she fought the 38 Studios deal from the beginning and that she and Fung disagree on what to do next. He wants to default on the bonds, which she says “would damage our credit rating, cost us millions more and lead to cuts in education and public safety.”
The Cranston mayor’s ad says Raimondo wants to use taxpayer money to “bail out” Wall Street investors.
