It’s hard to get excited about an “official” announcement from a guy who’s been unofficially campaigning and fundraising for months. He’s not exactly the Republicans’ Barack Obama either … or is he? Nevertheless, he’s yet another potential presidential nominee that fails to excite me. I think, sadly, a lot of Americans feel like I do about this cycle’s crop of candidates.
Anyway, I hope everyone had a pleasant Labor Day weekend. Mine was going pretty good until I discovered my stash of bristol board at home had gone bad. When I started to ink Fred Thompson’s nose, I realized the ink was bleeding like crazy and not staying dark. Because of this, finishing the cartoon was extra frustrating. Who knew paper could turn?!
