Jobs growth steady, not great

POLITICO — Another tepid jobs report on Friday showed the economy is not yet ready to turn the corner despite the expectations among some economists and market watchers that there would be robust jobs growth in March, putting an end to several months of weak data.

The economy added 192,000 jobs in March and the unemployment rate remained at 6.7 percent, the Labor Department reported. The report fell slightly below expectations, the consensus number among analysts was around 206,000 jobs added, according to a Bloomberg survey.
