Continuing to defend any and all money matters associated with her public image, Hillary Clinton told ABC News that her university speaking fees from the last year and a half have gone to a good cause: her family’s own.
“All of the fees have been donated to the Clinton Foundation for it to continue its life-changing and life-saving work. So it goes from a foundation at a university to another foundation,” Clinton told ABC’s Ann Compton on Friday.
The Clinton Foundation, which was once former President Bill Clinton’s project, was renamed for all three Clintons as their individual activity ramped up.
Hillary’s speaking engagements have commanded a cool $200k a pop, and some have been unhappy about the steep price. Members of the University of Nevada-Las Vegas student government, for instance, criticized Clinton’s $225,000 compensation for speaking at the school.
