Metro is No 1. At least on Google.
The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, the group that runs the region’s subway and bus systems, was the single most popular search term in the region in 2011, according to new statistics released by Google.
The No. 2 and No. 3 search terms were both related to the District’s Department of Motor Vehicles. The fourth spot went to the federal government’s jobs website, USAjobs. No. 5 was D.C. public schools.
Worldwide, fluke pop sensation Rebecca Black topped the list of fastest-rising searches, followed by Google + and deceased ‘Jackass’ star Ryan Dunn.
