Forget the movie stars and TV personalities: The guy who might have gotten the most attention at Tammy Haddad’s garden brunch on Saturday was none other than Dennis Hof, owner of the Moonlite Bunny Ranch brothel and star of HBO’s reality show “Cathouse.”
“We empower women to be professionals,” Hof said to anyone who would listen. “Some of our girls make $500,000 a year … or $120,000 working one week a month.”

But why are the male clients willing to appear on the show? “Eight out of 10 guys agree,” he said. “They want their 15 minutes [of fame].”
Hof, who supports Hillary Clinton now that Ron Paul is out of the running, even touted his environmental credentials. Speaking to a hydrogen car advocate, he said, “We try to be as green as possible. … I’m as mainstream as anybody. You get me a hydrogen car, and we’ll use it on the show. We’ll get the girls to drive it, we’ll paint it pink. Everybody will see it, and [the episode] will play for 20 years.”
Listening in on the conversation was Democratic pollster Peter Fenn, so we couldn’t resist asking him how selling alternative fuels through prostitution would poll. “Bad,” he said.
