Trump previews his Republican convention speech

Donald Trump previewed the speech he will give to the Republican National Convention on Thursday night when he officially accepts the party’s presidential nomination.

“Well I’m talking about trade, I’m talking about law and order, I’m going to be talking about borders,” Trump told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos in an interview that aired Thursday morning on “Good Morning America.”

“I’m going to be talking about many different things. Our country has a lot of problems. We’re weak in so many different ways,” he added.

Trump added that the message in his Thursday night speech will echo prior ones.

When asked where his “big applause” lines are — i.e. his calls for a temporary ban on Muslim immigration and a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border — Trump said to stay tuned.

“You’ll be hearing things tomorrow. You’ll be hearing a lot of things tomorrow,” he responded to Stephanopoulos in the interview, which was taped Wednesday.

Trump also dispelled calls from prominent GOPers that he has to change his rhetoric heading into the general election.

“Look, I am who I am. I’m a very honest person. I think that my message is a good message. It got me here,” Trump explained. “People are tired of what’s going on.”

Following three interesting nights at the RNC in Cleveland — including Wednesday night, when former primary foe Sen. Ted Cruz was booed off stage after not endorsing him — Trump is set for closing remarks Thursday night.

His daughter, Ivanka Trump, as well as evangelical leader Jerry Falwell, Jr. and Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus are also set to speak Thurdsay night.
