CLEVELAND — Donald Trump officially clinched the 2016 Republican presidential nomination Tuesday at the party’s national convention.
“Such a great honor to be the Republican Nominee for President of the United States. I will work hard and never let you down! AMERICA FIRST!” Trump tweeted, his first public reaction after winning the roll call vote.

Trump will appear before the convention later in the evening to introduce Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky.
