HOUSTON (AP) — More than a dozen passengers of a school bus were hurt when the bus appeared to strike a tree in Houston.
Houston fire officials say the 14 people taken to hospitals for treatment Tuesday morning appeared to suffer minor injuries. There were upward of 20 passengers on the private school bus. They all appeared to be students en route to school but authorities did not immediately confirm the ages of those involved.
The front of the bus was crumpled after coming to rest against a tree along the side of a road. Some on the bus were seen being placed on stretchers.
No other information was immediately available.
