Trump predicts more terrorist attacks on U.S. soil

Donald Trump predicted Friday that more terrorist attacks will occur on U.S. soil in the coming months, such as last weekend’s attack in Orlando, due to the lack of security under President Obama.

“People very unhappy with Crooked Hillary and Obama on JOBS and SAFETY! Biggest trade deficit in many years! More attacks will follow Orlando,” Trump tweeted on Friday morning.

In a subsequent tweet he added, “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! MAKE AMERICA SAFE AGAIN!”

In the days since the terrorist attack in Orlando that left 50 people dead, including the shooter, Trump has been criticizing Obama and Hillary Clinton for not being tough enough in cracking down against homegrown terrorists. Trump also congratulated himself for predicting the attack would end up being a terrorism case in a tweet just days after the tragedy.

During a national security discussion on Wednesday, Clinton responded that none of Trump’s policies, from his ban on Muslim immigrants to his plan to build a wall on the southern U.S. border, would have stopped the American-born gunman from opening fire. She also called his rhetoric “divisive” and “dangerous.”

As Trump and Clinton gear up for a general election battle Trump has slipped in the polls. The most recent CBS poll shows him trailing Clinton 43-37.
