Football has almost nothing to do with politics. An election result in no way affects if a team wins or loses, but for some reason, liberals decided to make the Super Bowl a referendum on the 2016 election.
It didn’t turn out well for them.
Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and coach Bill Belichick endorsed President Trump in the 2016 election and supporters of Hillary Clinton made it clear that the team had to lose. In their eyes, a win for the Falcons would be a victory against white supremacy.
Within hours though their mood shifted very dramatically.

Twitter exploded with progressives outraged at the greatest come-from-behind victory in Super Bowl history. Rather than congratulating Brady and his team for being superior players, they used convoluted reason and logic to blame it on white supremacy.
