With the clock ticking toward the Aug. 31 deadline for U.S. evacuation efforts at the Kabul airport, the work of extracting Americans, Afghan Special Immigrant Visa holders, interpreters, and their families continues. Independent organizations, bands of veterans, and individuals are stepping up to continue the evacuation efforts. Doug McKelway interviews U.S. Army veteran Gonzalo Lassally, who, along with Tarjoman.org, is spearheading some of those efforts.
