When asked to comment on the accusations surrounding Herman Cain, Mitt Romney said today in an interview with George Stephanopoulos that the charges were “particularly disturbing.”
“Any time there is an accuser that comes forward with charges of this nature you recognize that this is a very serious matter, and should be taken seriously.” Romney said.

When asked if the accusations disqualified Cain as a candidate for president, Romney said that he wasn’t going to comment on whether the allegations were true.
“It’s important to recognize that there have been a number of women have come forward with concerns,” Romney added. “This woman’s charges are particularly disturbing and they’re serious.”
