Sunday Night Baseball will focus the nation on the Nationals-Braves in the first game of the season played on an American field. Not just any American field but the brand new state of the art $611 million dollar stadium in South East Washington.
Tim Scanlan VP of Event Production for ESPN has been to the Nationals new stadium a number of times. He has scouted every possible camera angle and walked the building inside and out. After his inspection he told me that the new place is ready for the national spotlight.

The Nationals radio team of Charlie Slowes and Dave Jageler will once again handle the broadcasting chores. Slowes and Jageler are quickly becoming one of the top radio teams in baseball and with the strong signal of 3WT radio 107.7FM – 1500AM they can be heard throughout the entire mid Atlantic region.
MASN, MASN2 and MY20 will again once again be the home for all of the Nationals games this season. All 162 games will be telecast with the best local TV broadcast team in baseball Bob Carpenter and Don Sutton doing the games with Debbi Taylor handling the in game reporting as well as pre and post game interviews.
Johnny Holliday and Ray Knight will anchor Nats Xtra the teams pre and post game shows. This season the pre and post game shows will be done live from the Nationals Stadium on the weekends.
This season there will be more baseball offered on TV and alternative media than ever before.
For the first time in years there will be a complete national FOX Saturday Game of the Week for the entire season. The first telecast will come April 5th with the Mets and the Braves with all games starting at 3:30p.m.
This year there will be two national games of the week on Sunday starting April 6th with TBS doing 26 straight Game of the Week afternoon telecasts. Cal Ripken, Jr. will join Ernie Johnson for the pre and post game shows.
ESPN will have the Sunday primetime game of the week and they will also have games on Monday and Wednesday nights.
