Washed out in Alexandria

An early morning water main break Thursday has flooded the 3600 block of King Street in Alexandria, diverting traffic and springing a group of ninth graders from their morning classes.

Students at the Minnie Howard branch of T.C. Williams High School were without water. School officials shipped them to the school’s main King Street campus for breakfast, a move sure to have sparked  jealousy among the high school’s regular 10th, 11th and 12th grade tenants.

The water main break is also causing delays on the DASH AT 5 and 6 lines.
