A driver involved in a crash that killed a longtime Ellicott City pediatrician had been drinking before the collision, Howard County police said.
Christopher McCullough, 21, also of Ellicott City, had a blood alcohol concentration of .18 percent, more than double the legal limit, at the time of last week?s crash, autopsy results revealed. He also died in the crash.
Dr. Allan Leffler, 66, who practiced for more than 30 years, was not drinking, police said.
About 10:30 p.m. March 5, McCullough drove east on Route 103 approaching Chatsworth Way when his Ford Taurus crossed the double yellow line and struck a Volkswagen Passat driven by Leffler.
