Chelsea Clinton took to social media to defend President Trump’s 10-year-old son Barron Trump on Sunday after he was trolled online on Inauguration Day.

“Barron Trump deserves the chance every child does—to be a kid,” the daughter of former President Bill Clinton and Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said on Twitter.

“Standing up for every kid also means opposing @POTUS policies that hurt kids,” she said.

“Modern Family” actress Julie Bowen was one such commenter. She took to Instagram, posting Barron Trump’s expressions throughout the inaugural events. “Barron, a voting majority shares your horror,” Bowen captioned a picture of Barron holding his hands to his head looking upset.

Bowen tweeted that she was just “trying to keep it light,” and loved that Barron was just being a kid.

Katie Rich, a “Saturday Night Live” writer tweeted on Friday, then deleted, that 10-year-old Barron Trump “will be this country’s first homeschool shooter.”

Many others on social media expressed shock and came to Trump’s youngest son’s defense, saying Barron should be “off limits.”
