Pedestrian killed on Long Island

BRENTWOOD, N.Y. (AP) — Police on Long Island are investigating a crash that killed a 68-year-old pedestrian.

Suffolk County police say it happened in Brentwood at10:25 p.m.

Police say the victim was crossing Suffolk Avenue when he was struck by a Nissan Versa.

The victim was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The 25-year-old driver was not injured.
