Injuries impacted their seasons in 2010. But that could mean good things for these teams in 2011. Why? Because those injured stars have returned.

Boston » The Red Sox return second baseman Dustin Pedroia, third baseman Kevin Youkilis and outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury. Youkilis is an on-base percentage machine. But Pedroia energizes this offense, and he’s expected to be fully recovered from foot surgery last September.

Minnesota » Closer Joe Nathan, who missed all of last season following Tommy John surgery, is back. And former MVP winner Justin Morneau was lost at the midway point in 2010 because of a concussion. In 81 games, he hit .345 with 18 homers and 56 RBI.

Los Angeles Angels » They took a surprise dive in the American League West last season, but it didn’t help that they lost first baseman Kendry Morales last May. In 2009, he hit .306 with 34 homers and 108 RBI. Last year, he hit .290 with 11 homers and 39 RBI in 51 games.
