There?s a bit of bad news for jazz lovers, but there?s a lot of good news, too.

Jazz great Etta James, a headliner in the upcoming PAETEC Jazz Festival in Baltimore, is ill and cannot perform.

But rock legend Little Richard will take her place in the lineup that includes B.B. King, Al Green and Earth Wind & Fire, among others.

The first PAETEC Jazz Festival comes to Baltimore on Aug. 9 for a three-day run at the Pier Six Pavilion along the city?s Inner Harbor. In addition to the headliners, some 20 free concerts also are part of the festival.

“We are very pleased that Little Richard, who is a phenomenal performer, will join American music legends B.B. King and Al Green in what we know will be an incredible concert of memorable music,” said Marc Iacona, co-producer of the festival. “It?s going to be a wild night.”
