Fairfax County police are setting up a checkpoint to nab intoxicated boaters today.
The Marine Patrol unit will stop those headed out onto the water at the Occoquan Regional Park Marina from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. to check for intoxicated boat drivers.
A police statement said the department hoped the checkpoint would deter boaters from drinking and driving.
