West Springfield High School’s choreography makes ‘America’s Got Talent’

A Fairfax County high school stole the spotlight on NBC’s hit show “America’s Got Talent” on Tuesday night. The West Springfield High School Dance Team, which won its second national championship in March in Orlando, was one of 12 groups selected to perform on the show. They were picked by judge Sharon Osbourne to return to the program as part of Wild Card Week, and they did not disappoint.

“I love all the drama,” Osbourne said. “Great choreography. I absolutely loved it,” she continued. The teens slapped on their goth garb and makeup and creepily slithered to an almost spooky number. “We hope America really loves our team … but we want to scare them a little bit, too,” one team member said in a taped interview.

Wednesday’s show ended after press time, but we’ll be sure to let you know if they moved on.
