Navigating D.C. by smartphone will get a little easier starting Wednesday.

Google Maps announced on Wednesday it will add up-to-date information on Metro delays and track work to its website and app, a popular tool for area residents when deciding how to get to from point A to point B.

The information will come from Metro, Google’s Soufi Esmaeilzadeh said in a blog post. Maps users will be able to choose a different route on the app and site to get around delays.

Google also announced it would provide more transit information for New York City and Salt Lake City.
