3 potential buyers interested in Rentech land

NATCHEZ, Miss. (AP) — Rentech is asking $8.5 million for the 478 acres in Adams County where it once planned to build an alternative fuels plant to convert coal into liquid.

Natchez real estate broker Glenn Green, one of the three listed on the property, tells the Natchez Democrat (http://bit.ly/Y1OxB7 ) that has been some offers on the property but declined to discuss them.

Green says the property is also listed with brokers in New Orleans and in Colorado

Natchez Inc. Executive Director Chandler Russ says three potential buyers are in play.

The former International Paper property is located near the Natchez-Adams County Port.

Rentech brought the property in 2008. Adams County brokered the deal and netted $2.9 million in the process of the land sale. The final sales price was not disclosed.
