Psst! Guess what? Newt Gingrich is really into … solutions! (Must be easy once you’re out of power. …)
The former speaker of the House, and resident smart guy, talked of all sorts of “solutions” during his hourlong speech Thursday at the American Enterprise Institute.

“Real solutions.” “Positive solutions.” “Genuine solutions.” “New solutions” (twice). “Bold, courageous solutions that dare to be politically incorrect.”
And, if not solutions, “bold proposals”! And “series of changes”! “Bold ideas”! “Real change”!
But how do we actually achieve those solutions, Newt? He blew minds by dropping some serious knowledge.
“Real change requires real change.” You don’t say. … “There has to be a program and the program has to be implemented.” Get out! Gingrich was even kind of enough to prepare you for his awesomeness. “I’m going to suggest some very big solutions in the next few minutes.” “This may be the boldest thing I’m going to say today.” Bring it, baby.
Despite the wonkery, Gingrich wasn’t above delving into sports, either. “If politics were sports, the primary pattern of the left would be to study the losing team and to ask whether they have psychological anguish for coming in last for the 13th straight year.”
