1 dead, 1 hurt in Queens housing complex dispute

NEW YORK (AP) — A man was killed and another wounded in a dispute at a Queens public housing complex.

Police say James Sloane shot and killed Jose Feliciano late Friday after Feliciano stabbed him.

The incident happened around 11:15 p.m. at the Woodside Houses.

Both men were taken to Elmhurst Hospital.

The 50-year-old Feliciano was pronounced dead on arrival. The 30-year-old Sloane was listed in stable condition.

Police say Sloane is charged with murder, criminal possession of a weapon and tampering with evidence.

Information on Sloane’s lawyer wasn’t immediately available.
