Perhaps the first lady should take a lesson on vacation planning from MSNBC’s Chuck Todd.
Todd spent Monday morning on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” talking about how even Democrats were criticizing the first lady’s pricey trip to Spain. He also revealed those in the White House knew that the trip wouldnÕt go over very well with the American public.

“This never would have actually polled very well,” he said, citing a White House source. (During his presidency, President Clinton actually visited Jackson Hole, Wyo., instead of Martha’s Vineyard because of polling data).
Yeas & Nays caught up with “The Daily Rundown’s” co-host Monday night and he divulged what he would be doing during summer recess. He and the family will take a road trip to historic Williamsburg.
“We are going to Williamsburg. It’s a little educational, then if they get bored we’ll take them to Busch Gardens,” Todd told Yeas & Nays.
And why Williamsburg?
“Well, my kids are 3 and 6, it’s close. It’s hard to fly with little kids,” he explained. The Todd family hits the road at the end of August.
