The city of Alexandria is prepared for National Preparedness Month.
The city will host a workshop in August in anticipation of the preparedness month in September.
The workshop will teach residents how to prepare for emergencies and will consist of a presentation by county employees and a question and answer session.
The workshop will be held Aug. 16 at the Charles E. Beatley Jr. Library, 5005 Duke St., Alexandria, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
