Trump fans in India throw him a 70th birthday bash

Donald Trump did not travel to India on Tuesday, but his 70th birthday was celebrated in the country’s capital nonetheless.

Several members belonging to India’s right-wing Hindu Sena threw the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, who they’ve affectionately dubbed the “savior of humanity,” a birthday party in New Delhi on Tuesday, according to local news reports.

The party featured a life-size cardboard cutout of the Manhattan real estate mogul, a three-tier cake with his name inscribed in icing and dozens of balloons.

At one point, Hindu Sena leader Vishnu Gupta fed cake to an enlarged photograph of Trump holding a rifle.

The same group gathered in New Delhi last month for an organized prayer where they reportedly made offerings before a picture of Trump and prayed aloud in Sanskrit that he succeeds in his bid for the White House.

The men and women gathered Tuesday in New Delhi reportedly held a moment of silence for the victims of the terror attack in Orlando, Fla., shortly before they cut the birthday cake while cheering “Long live Donald Trump.”
