The NRSC announced another wave of independent expenditure advertisement investments Friday evening, including defensive moves in Georgia and South Dakota.
After polls tightened in South Dakota this week, the Senate GOP campaign arm felt compelled to jump into a race that was previously classified as a slam dunk pick up. The NRSC also made offensive moves, however, announcing additional IE expenditures in Alaska, Colorado, Iowa and New Hampshire.
“These additional investments are part of our overall strategy to win and build a new Senate Republican majority,” Ron Bonjean, consultant to the NRSC IE Committee, said in a statement.
The NRSC’s latest investments include:
Alaska — $1.0 million
Colorado — $1.5 million
Iowa — $1.250 million
Georgia — $1.450 million
South Dakota — $1.0 million
New Hampshire — $1.2 million
Republicans need to win six Democratic-held seats to win the Senate on Nov. 4.
