Bernie Sanders says he will vote for Hillary Clinton in November.

When asked if he will vote for the presumed Democratic nominee in this fall’s general election in an interview on MSNBC Friday, Sanders responded “Yes.”

The Vermont senator has been mathematically eliminated from winning the Democratic nomination, but has not yet formally ended his presidential campaign. But he said he has decided not to officially drop out of the race so he can “fight for the strongest possible platform in the Democratic convention.”

“You talk about disunity. I talk about involving the American people in the political process,” Sanders explained as he dismissed the idea that him being in the race hurts Democrats.

Sanders also criticized presumed Republican nominee Donald Trump and how important it is that he does not win the White House.

“I think the issue right here is I’m gonna do everything I can to defeat Donald Trump,” he said, adding Trump would be “a disaster for this country if he were to be elected.”
