It’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and that means it’s time for an afternoon tip in Washington, where Andray Blatche said he had his own dream, that the Wizards won a road game and were in the playoffs. Dreams can become reality, King believed that. As for the Wizards, they are technically only 4 1/2 games out of eighth place in the NBA Eastern Conference.

Asked what his team’s keys are for today’s games, here’s Wizards head coach Flip Saunders: “We can’t turn the ball over because Utah’s not going to, so we can’t have a big discrepancy in turnovers. We’ve got to match their physicality, and we can’t give up layups, whether it’s in transition or it’s in their halfcourt set. And I think we have to shoot a good percentage. We gotta make them take the ball out of the net because when we make shots, we usually gain a little bit of confidence. If we can get our defense set, we’re much better defensively.”

The only player absence this afternoon – besides Wizards forward Josh Howard, who remains out with left knee issues – is Utah rookie Gordon Hayward, who will miss the game with a sinus infection. Bummer, would’ve been nice to see the guy that took Butler to the NCAA Final last spring.
