Exiting Huntsman demands GOP stop negative attacks

As Jon Huntsman exited the Republican presidential primary today, he preached against negative advertising, calling for all candidates to stop their attack ads.

As we wrote earlier, Huntsman deleted several anti-Romney attack ads from his campaign’s YouTube account prior to his speech this morning. Huntsman was also the only candidate who released an attack ad against Ron Paul.

Huntsman’s Republican rivals did not run negative advertisements against him.

“We entered this campaign with the longest of long shots.” Huntsman said, before announcing his plans to “suspend” his campaign and support Mitt Romney.

Update: David Freddoso points out this mildly anti-Huntsman web video produced by the Santorum campaign.
