A hiker who disappeared in the woods of Washington state was found safe after being reported missing during his June 18 hike, police announced Sunday.
Andrew Devers, 25, who was found by a trail runner on Sunday morning, survived the eight-day stint “on berries and river water,” according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.
Devers went missing after setting off for the hike at the Middle Fork Campground, about 45 miles east of downtown Seattle. The trail runner discovered Devers, who was taken from the scene to be evaluated by medics at the Middle Fork Trailhead.
