INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Gov. Mike Pence has reappointed James Atterholt as chairman of the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission.

Atterholt was first appointed to the commission by former Gov. Mitch Daniels nearly four years ago and he became chairman on Oct. 5, 2010.

Pence says Atterholt “has demonstrated the kind of character and competence Indiana will need to develop energy policy, create jobs and protect ratepayers.”

The Fort Wayne native is a former member of the Indiana General Assembly.
