Ten Prince George’s County students were taken to the hospital Monday morning after their school bus was rear-ended by a sport utility vehicle.

A bus headed for Thurgood Marshall Middle School was struck by the SUV on the 4800 block of Temple Hills Road about 8:25 a.m., according to Cpl. Evan Baxter, police spokesman.

Students complained of sore necks and backs and were taken to a local hospital.

The driver of the SUV fled on foot, Baxter said.
