Too bad for Barack Obama that those teenagers who are constantly changing their cell phone ringtone from one Top 40 song to another can’t vote: The Illinois senator is popular among the ringtone crowd.
So says Ringtones08.com, a Web site that features — you guessed it — various ringtones inspired by the 2008 election. We did a quick tally of the number of ringtones per candidate, and Obama is clobbering John McCain by a factor of six.

Obama also has a legion of creative ringtone creators. Among the ringtones uploaded by site users: “Baby got Barack” (to the tune of Sir Mix-a-Lot’s “Baby Got Back” hit), “Barack Obama-sistible” (to the tune of Robert Palmer’s “Simply Irresistible”) and “Para Bailar Obama” (to the tune of Los Lobos’ “La Bamba”).
For his part, McCain can take pride in “Raining McCain,” a ringtone set to the tune of the Weather Girls’ “It’s Raining Men.”
