A small child was in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle near Chevy Chase in Northwest Washington, authorities said.
D.C. fire officials said a 19-month-old was hit about noon Thursday in the 3600 block of Jenifer Street NW. The child was taken to The National Children’s Hospital with life-threatening injuries, said D.C. fire spokesman Pete Piringer.
D.C. police are investigating.
