Whether you?re trying to make a splash or just survive, sharing memorable back to school stories with others may help.

Students may feel a mishmash of emotions about this day: Disappointed that the summer has gone by faster than a sprinting cheetah, flustered about entering a new school, or excited to see school friends for the first time in months.

First day of school are especially remarkable when unforgettable experiences happen.

During her first day of fourth grade at Dunloggin Middle School two years ago, Kristin Ringley?s best friend, a class comedian, made everyone?s day brighter “He rented a clown suit and dressed up as a clown on the first day of school.”

Last year, Laura Taneyhill had an interesting, if awkward first day of her last year of middle school.

“My flip flops broke during homeroom, so I had to walk around with just one flip flop on for the entire day,” said the freshman at Centennial High School.

Kenneth Xuan, a fourth grader at Pointer’s Run Elementary School, will never forget his first day of kindergarten.

“We read this Horrible Harry book about Harry making slime for a science project. Then, we got to make green slime ourselves, and the goo felt just like a slug,” he said.

Memorable first day of school stories are always an interesting way to start out the school year. Just don’t do anything dangerous.
