Softball action in the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland is becoming more meaningful by the day.

Seton Keough, atop the IAAM A Conference standings with a 6-0 record, will try to knock off host St. Vincent Pallotti Tuesday at 4 p.m. in a key mid-season contest. Pallotti is on a three-game winning streak, and is tied with John Carroll for third place with identical 4-2 records in the conference.

Seton Keough hosted Pallotti on March 31, and the Gators defended the home field with a 5-1 win.

Pallotti toppled John Carroll by a 3-2 margin April 3. The Patriots host 0-7 McDonogh Tuesday (today) at 4 p.m.

Archbishop Spalding has a grasp on second place with a 4-1 record in the IAAM, and will try to keep that spot today in a 4 p.m. game with the Institute of Notre Dame.
