Not everything cool deserves to be a video game. The sooner we learn this as a culture, the sooner we can all get on with our lives.
“Via Domus,” the suspiciously anticipated video game adaptation of the first few seasons of ABC’s hit “LOST,” is a wholly unapproachable adventure-slog that exists as a $60 dare to fans of the show.
Fans are rewarded with the ability to digitally explore areas seen in the show and talk to characters they’ve followed through the series. Fans are punished by being innundated with continuity issues, bad voice acting, and being kept out of the main storyline.
While it’s interesting to experience the point of view of an amnesiac 815 survivor, once you get to know him through flashbacks, he’s not even a likable character.
Disappointing to fans and nonsense to newcomers, everyone would be better off leaving “Via Domus” on the island.
