Rhode Island Gov. Gina Raimondo faces a Democratic primary challenge
Wednesday from former Secretary of State Matt Brown. She is the latest
Democratic incumbent to contend with a progressive opponent backed by
supporters of Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt.

Republicans will also pick their gubernatorial nominee. Their choices
include Cranston Mayor Allan Fung, the 2014 nominee, House Minority
Leader Patricia Morgan, and Donald Trump’s 2016 state chairman Joe
Trillo.
