YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Mitt Romney knows how to galvanize steel and crush cars.
That’s what Romney told Ohio’s blue-collar voters at rallies in Canton and Youngstown on Monday, as he strives to clinch the Republican presidential nomination by winning the Buckeye state on Super Tuesday.
“This is galvanized steel,” Romney said at one rally, referring to the piles of steel rods stacked 20 feet high around him inside a steel manufacturing factory owned by Gregory Industries. “They take steel, they cut it, they put it through a bath of Zinc that galvanizes it, then they make it into various products and sell it around the country and around the world.”
